About Jane Getty
What's one of the best places in the world to spend your childhood? How about Aruba? Until Jane departed for Ohio University and the beginning of her formal art education, she spent most of her time on the beaches of Aruba. After graduating from O.U. she taught art in New Jersey and Texas. Then along came her husband, four kids and a bunch of dogs, cats, rabbits, and other assorted tame and wild life. However,
she never got too far away from the beach. Sitting, reading, swimming, surfing, collecting shells, and of course painting. Now after years dedicated to raising a family, she has come full circle. She is teaching art to her grandchildren and also in various adult classes. Her work has been displayed in many venues around the east coast, and she has won a number of awards for her watercolors. She continues her studies with various talented artists in New Jersey and beyond.
Please enjoy her watercolor depictions of life and nature as much as she has enjoyed creating them.
